Fractional CTO & technical advisor.
Senior technical leadership, without a full-time hire.
Discuss your projectFor founders and teams who need an experienced engineer at the table - to set technical direction, make architecture and vendor decisions and keep engineering aligned with the product - without hiring a full-time CTO. The engagement stays hands-on: I review real code and real trade-offs, not slides.
Where the work can help
01
Architecture and roadmap
System architecture, technical roadmap, technical-debt strategy and cloud decisions. Choices are documented with clear trade-offs and a workable sequence for delivery.
02
Engineering decisions
Codebase assessment, build vs. buy, vendor evaluation and AI strategy. Technical decisions made with the people who execute, weighing cost, risk and product timing.
03
Team and alignment
Hiring support, engineering standards, mentoring and product/engineering alignment. The goal is a team that decides well even when I'm not in the room.
Experience behind the approach
This is hands-on advisory from a working software architect and tech lead - grounded in day-to-day architecture and delivery, not a detached executive title. Experience at Transfero, BTG Pactual and Thomson Reuters, plus products I run in production, informs the technical decisions. The résumé documents that background.
Review professional experienceFrom discovery to delivery
We start with your problem, existing systems and expected outcome. Discovery informs a proposal with scope, dependencies and acceptance criteria. Delivery proceeds in reviewable stages, with workflow validation and preparation for ongoing operations.
Frequently asked questions
How does a fractional CTO engagement work?
Usually a monthly retainer or a block of hours, with scope and priorities agreed upfront. The work runs in reviewable cycles so you can follow the decisions and the progress.
How many hours per week?
It depends on where the company is. The model is part-time by design; we agree on the commitment at the start and adjust as needs change, without replacing your team's day-to-day.
Do you work remotely?
Yes, remote by default (GMT-3), in English or Portuguese. Occasional in-person work in São Paulo can be arranged when it helps.
How does it start?
With a free introductory call to understand the context. A short assessment of the code, architecture and priorities then shapes the scope and working model before we begin.
Is this slide-deck advisory or real technical work?
Real technical work. I review code and architecture, take part in decisions and can pair on implementation when it helps. The focus is unblocking engineering, not producing presentations.
