Hello, world — this blog exists
Notes from a senior engineer on pragmatic architecture, distributed .NET systems, applied AI, and operational decisions learned the hard way in production.
This is the first post of a personal blog I'll use to record what I learn building systems.
Why
I've been doing engineering for over a decade. In that time I've repeated decisions, re-examined trade-offs, and accumulated a few opinions — mostly about systems that keep working in production for a long time. This blog becomes the deposit for those notes.
What I'll write about
- Pragmatic architecture: stack decisions, when to add sophistication and when not to.
- Applied AI: how I use models in real products — no hype, no mystery.
- Operations: what breaks, why, and how to make it wake you up instead of me.
- Senior engineering career: hard decisions, partnerships, client vs. employer.
No fixed schedule. When I have something to say, it'll show up here.
